Today I’m uploading an alternate take of “Let’s Blow Your Mind.” This one’s been given a more complete overhaul. I wasn’t happy with the melody of the vocals in the original, so I changed the first line of each verse couplet to something I think is better. The rhythm guitar and bass line of the verse were simplified a little so that they didn’t sound so rushed. Synthesizer background was added throughout, and a synth lead sound was added to the chorus. And I dropped the canned drum rhythm for a shaker, congas, bongos, and crash cymbal. The lead guitar and the additional rhythm guitar during the chorus are the only things that remained the same as the original.

As for the lyrics, I think of this song as me donning a rock god persona for a few minutes and exhibiting extreme confidence in my skills.
